Ramblings of the Mad Cow » Personal

Wow, is that place way focused on the tourists!  Everyone there wanted to make sure I partied like a rock star.  I have some photos to upload, and I’ll get them up here as soon as I get the chance.  Now it’s back to work, trying to play catch-up!

Well, in the quest to improve myself, and our checking account balance, I have taken on a different job at work.  They’re slowly but surely moving me into a new position.  And this is more like a job for grown ups.  Meaning I no longer have a job I can do with my eyes closed. I actually have to think now!  And I don’t get to work in jeans looking like a train wreck, now I have to be slightly presentable.  Or at least not so grotesque.  And then there’s the travel.  And since I’m jumping in the deep end (three trips in April) I definitely won’t be blogging as much as I usually do.

This one is from tofu mom

  7. Have you had more than 3 boyfriends/girlfriends at the same time? Geeze, who can juggle that many?!
  8. Have you ever thought about your death? I guess, but who wants to dwell.
  9. Would you rather be in a permanent relationship or play the field? The permanent relationship I’m in now is perfect, thanks.

One of my favorite passages from the Bible

1 Corinthians 13Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

So much has happened this week, I hardly know where to begin!  Ok, so the boy child has been having some health issues that came to a head Tuesday afternoon. So we went to Le Bonheur and they admitted him to do surgery.  Without going into all the gory details, he had surgery, got several infusions of clotting factor and is finally back home.  Thanks a million to everyone that sent support, love and prayers.  And we definitely couldn’t have managed without Dad and Paula!  It was great having him help out with Small Fry while her big brother was being taken care of.  You guys rock!

And so, with that, I return you to your regular type ramblings.

Sorry I haven’t been much for the blogging, but the boy child has had a rough week and we’ve been up at St. Jude.  He’s gotten an infusion and he’s at home now, doing much better.   We did miss Valentine’s Day, but here’s something for all you lovers out there.

Ever have one of those days where you were busy from dawn til dusk but feel at the end of the day like you didn’t get anything accomplished? Saturday was that day for me. I spent the whole day working on the website for my church, New Discovery, but Saturday night I looked around and the house was a wreck and I hadn’t done any laundry and I felt like the whole day had just slipped by. Don’t get me wrong, I worked my booty off on that site, and I think it looks darn spiffy, but I just hate sitting in front of the computer all day when I’m at home. It’s bad enough that it’s all I do Monday – Friday, but I feel like I ‘wasted’ Saturday doing that too. Oh well, at least it’s done and I think everyone is happy with it. I hope.
