I tried again today to have a little yummy chicken stuff that I love, or loved before yesterday. I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened to it before it got to my fork. I just couldn’t put it in my mouth. I’m not going to go all crazy PETA chick, but I don’t think I can eat something that I know used to be a living animal. It never used to bother me. I’m pretty sure two days ago I could have stood around petting a cow with one hand and stuffing a burger into my mouth with the other. But not now. Even cheese grosses me out. I hate rice today. It was all I could stomach. No one dare tell me about how rice is mistreated, I may snap.
I’m so depressed.
Damn you, Rob Zombie, damn you!

Thinking about retirement?

Where do you want to retire?

You can live in Phoenix, Arizona where….
You are willing to park 3 blocks away because you found shade. You can drive for 4 hours in one direction and never leave town. You have over 100 recipes for Mexican food. You know that “dry heat” is comparable to what hits you in the face when you open your oven door. The 4 seasons are: tolerable, hot, really hot, and ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!

You can Live in California where…

You make over $250,000 and you still can’t afford to buy a house. The fastest part of your commute is going down your driveway. You know how to eat an artichoke. You drive your rented Mercedes to your neighborhood block party. When someone asks you how far something is, you tell them how long it will take to get there rather than how many miles away it is. The 4 seasons are: Fire, Flood, Mud, and Drought

Oh, wow, I can’t believe I’m about to write this.

This morning I heard a Rob Zombie ad for PETA, and I had to check it out. The ad was specifically about ButterBall turkeys. First, who’d a thunk Rob Zombie was an animal rights activist? Strange, huh? Second, normally I’m the kind of person to agree that animals are great, shouldn’t be mistreated, etc, then I turn right around and eat a hamburger. I eat flesh. Always have. I love me some dead animal. Well, that may be loved me some dead animal.

So I go to the site to check out what Rob is talking about. His ad piqued my interest. So I head over to GoVeg.com like Rob says to have a look around. First thing on the page is the link to the ButterBall stuff he’s talking about. So I go and watch the video. This video is not for the faint of heart, weak, or anyone that has eaten in the last hour. I was horrified. I felt disgusted that I ate turkey last week. I swear, normally PETA ads about how my burger was mistreated before it became my burger don’t even make me flinch, or quit chewing, but this one definitely upset me.

So I’m back over at GoVeg.com now looking around. If you get the chance, check it out. But be warned, you may not like what you read.
