Ice cream at sunset:
These last two weekends were reserved for staying at home and trying to enjoy these last bits of summer. I get all sentimental this time of year and start informing Q that we still need to fit in more of those summery things I dream about all winter long, like picnics and ice cream runs, so that's just what we did.
PS. I also spent some long overdue time working on this:

Everywhere I have read this past weekend everyone is eeking out the very last drops of summer, whereas I am wishing it away and am now worried I might regret it this Winter! Your park looks amazing and I am excited to see the product of your hard work soon.
xx
I feel the same way about summer. The slight chill in the air is welcome after a straight month of 90+ degrees in July, but I don't want summer to end yet. Excited to see the new setup tomorrow!
Btw, thanks for the sweet and encouraging comment you left on my Friday post. The encouragement lifted my spirits and helped me refocus. :)
Exciting!
ohhh, can't wait!
Excited to see the new design!
Awww, that sounds like such a lovely summer weekend. I think I need to fit in a picnic before it's over (lord, knows I've had my share of ice cream ;)
Can't wait to see the new look!!
Ah, that looks like the perfect, relaxed, end-of-summer weekend. I'm a winter person and normally I dread summer, but reading blogs like yours has helped me remember the good things about the warmer months. I'm actually looking forward to summer this year! Which is lucky, because there are only two days left of winter here in Australia.
Happy Monday and looking forward to the new site!
Haha you sound a lot like me - I'm always telling my husband "we need to go on more picnics! let's get ice cream!" : )
And woohooo!!!! So excited about your new site!!! I know how much work that is and you're so close! xoxo
Good for you for embracing it while we still can! I feel like so many people are over it - they've given up on summer. That is so sad, especially when you live in a place like Chicago or Michigan!
