terrain: salt & caramel

(images: terrain, spotted on mary's blog)

These goods from The Pantry at Terrain would be welcome in my own pantry right about now. The caramel for apple season (just in time), and the sea salt because my parents keep preaching about its health benefits. (I swear this has nothing to do with the irresistible packaging...).

jenny yoo dresses

(images: jenny yoo 2010 collection)

If I could do it all over again, I'd let my bridesmaids get dresses they might actually wear again (guilty). I'm loving these from the Jenny Yoo bridesmaid collection. They're fancy enough for a bridal party, but would make for the perfect party dress down the line.

follow studio: florals & stripes

(images: 1 wedding style guide, 2 follow studio)

Two things from Follow Studio - first, the gorgeous stationery they designed for the Bloom Bloom story in the latest Wedding Style Guide. And, these perfectly simple striped notepads from their shop (because it's all about the little things).

fancy felt

(images: 1 giant dwarf, 2 uppercase)

I've been looking for good felt to use for upcoming projects and Janine recently posted this resource for fancy felt from Giant Dwarf - it's made of an heirloom quality wool & rayon blend. You can pick a set of your own colors over in the their shop (aren't their sample sheets so pretty?).

colorful puffer packs...

...from Serena & Lily. Besides having the cutest names (I like the Lemon Puffer & Carrot Puffer best), they're fun and practical. They're made for kids but I totally want one.

(These really take me back to the late 90s/early 2000s for some reason. I remember all things shiny and colorful were popular then at stores like Gap & Esprit . Color never goes out of style!)

weekend inspiration: fall parties

If you're looking for some party inspiration this weekend, check out the fall celebration challenge hosted by Vicky over on City Cradle...

(images: melanie, you are my fave)

Five bloggers each styled a party and you can vote for your favorite one. Vicky kindly asked me to participate but I wasn't able to (lame! I know), but I'm secretly glad I couldn't because the other entries are so fabulous . Above is the party that got my vote (because I'm partial to both farmers markets and awesome things), but you can decide for yourself here. Oh, and have a fun weekend!

paper: kate spade fall

The most affordable thing from Kate Spade might just be their cutest. Their fall paper line is out, with 2011 calendars that feature playful illustrations by Jenny Bowers (shown above). Available as wall or desk top for under $20.

camilla chandelier

I spotted this chandelier in the latest Pottery Barn catalog and think it'd be so cozy in a dining room. I like the rustic-glam look it has going on, although it's a little fancy for my taste (um, especially the $400 price tag). But it is pretty...

simple favor packaging

I love this idea for packaging party favors. Butcher paper with a pretty handwritten recipe on it, wrapped around a piece of fruit. Perfect for fall using an apple or mini pumpkin with your favorite pie recipe.

Sweet Paul Magazine launched its new issue today, brimming full of inspiration for fall. Recipes, crafts, party ideas, a good article on farming....I'm so there.

Already look forward to their holiday issue coming Nov 15th. Hooray for free magazines.

I spotted some of Paperfinger's recent work over here yesterday, and quickly found myself browsing their portfolio yet again. Amazing stuff...

bags: makr carry goods

Oh, I could be great friends with this ruck sack. And this canvas tote. To the library, camping, and traveling we would go...

bakery packaging...

Like many, I'm a total sucker for good package design & branding. How could these goodies from Flour Pot Bakery not be fantastic when their packaging is this cute. Designed by Sara Nicely.

lola clothing line

Love this incredibly chic clothing line from Lola, a shop created by independent designer Tali from Israel. It still amazes me that talented designers from all around the world can be discovered (and supported) through sites like etsy, I love it.

fall inspiration: river wedding

(images: braedon flynn, via snippet & ink)

This Tahoe river wedding is the prettiest I've seen on blogs in awhile. It's very rustic & elegant, and my favorite detail is the French glass door with guests' names written on it. They did a beautiful job balancing current trends with details that are classic and timeless.

happy september weekend

(images: tec petaja)

We'll be holding on to the last bits of summer this weekend, but after that I am so ready for fall. These photos from Tec Petaja seem to capture my mood - they remind me of summer & fall at the same time. Have a happy weekend.

interior photography: patric johansson

(images: patric johansson, via lace & tea)

I could easily spend an entire morning looking through Patric Johansson's portfolio. He's also the photographer behind a lot of wonderful Ikea interiors (the bedroom above is a total favorite of mine).

pure style living

(images: pure style online)

I've been reading this great book from the library, Pure Style Living, and it's all about living simply - eating good food, keeping a clean home, being thrifty, enjoying life.

The author has an inspiring website, too, called Pure Style; I like how her style is both modern and a bit country, yet completely timeless.

glass storage

With fall approaching I've been on an organizing mission, and have been thinking about getting glass containers (for leftovers) to replace all of the plastic ones in our kitchen (for several reasons). So far the best option I've found is from Crate & Barrel. Below are the smallest size, and we'd get the larger ones, too. Does anyone own these or have other recommendations?

Cute video launching the new kate spade twirl fragrance.
Anna wintour & marc jacobs on Jimmy Fallon this week.
A pretty blog with beautiful photography (via lanalou).
Handmade jewelry from 31 bits that supports women in Uganda (via olivia).

shop inspiration: studio choo

The behind the scenes that Studio Choo shared last week about the making of their shop is full of inspiration. They transformed a tiny, bare space into a charming shop for their flower business (along with two friends' businesses).

(images: studio choo via design sponge)

My favorite part are those salvaged wood rafters they added, it makes all the difference. Wouldn't it be amazing to work there every day?

life beautiful magazine

I picked up the summer issue of life beautiful magazine and it really is one of the most beautiful magazines I have ever read.

(images: life beautiful magazine)

It's a Christian lifestyle magazine focused on showcasing the beauty of the world around us - it explores topics like cooking, decorating, design, travel, nature, faith - and the art direction of the entire magazine could truly rival a Martha Stewart one. See more here on their website.
